Are you searching for high quality, high performance women’s tennis and fitness apparel? I’ve got just the clothing line for you. DTL Sport (Down the Line Sportswear) Women’s Tennis Apparel features a stylish collection of tennis skirts, tennis and running skorts, tennis and fitness tops and tennis outfits. DTL offers tennis and fitness apparel for teams and clubs. And to top it off, DTL tennis and fitness apparel is made in the USA.
DTL Sport was founded by Carla Hilbig a former nationally ranked junior player and member of the USC tennis team and tennis director and clothing buyer for a prestigious tennis facility in Southern California. Tired of the high prices and outrageous markups charged by pro shops and disappointed with the lower quality and mass-marketed styles offered at sporting good stores and discounters, Carla formed DTL to bring affordable high fashion, high quality, and high performance tennis and fitness apparel to women and juniors across the country. The same competitive nature that propelled Carla throughout her tennis career is reflected in the style and performance of DTL.
We use nothing but the highest quality materials to construct our apparel. The fabric is a blend of high quality fibers that will keep you cool, dry and comfortable—no matter what the temperature is or how intense the action gets. Our trendsetting active wear is designed for the athlete who wants to turn heads with the look of their outfit as well as with the power of their play.

DTL Sport also sponsors talented, young, junior tennis players. DTL has just signed Julia O’Loughlin to a clothing sponsorship. In fact, I introduced Carla to Julia O’Loughlin, who is nationally ranked and has received a tennis scholarship to train at the United States Tennis Association Junior Development Program located at the Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton.

Australian Open.
I have to admit I was cheering for Tsonga to win the Australian Open. He’s got such a big game and even bigger personality. Congratulations to him for beating Nadal in the semi-finals. That was unbelievable tennis! He is a pleasure to watch.
Djokovic, on the other hand, exhibits a bit more of an arrogant rather than confident personality. Don’t get me wrong… I think he’s a great player with precision shot-making and an all around solid game. After beating the almighty Federer, he surely deserved to win the tournament. And I think he’s bouncing the ball on his serve a lot less than in the past!
My favorite match of the tournament was the Federer vs Tipsaravic match. That was fun to watch! What was your favorite match? I have such great memories at the Australian Open from a couple of years ago. It is by far the most personal Grand Slam. The Aussies are so friendly and the atmosphere just electric and easy-going.
I do want to give a shout out to my friend Scott Davidoff who is in Melbourne and did such a fine job preparing Tipsaravic for the tournament as well as coaching Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi who reached the Mixed Doubles finals. Well done! See you back in Denver.
And while I’m on the topic of congratulating friends, I do want to mention my friend David Egdes, who was my mentor at Trinity University, for signing Martina Navratilova as primary commentator for the Tennis Channel.
So, anyone else at the Australian Open this year? How was your experience? Did anyone catch the Sting concert? Let me know!

Amelie Mauresmo has struggled with injuries and a drop in the rankings since winning the 2006 Australian Open. She has slumped from No. 1 to No. 18 in the two years after capturing her first Grand Slam, when Justine Henin defaulted in the final with a stomach illness. That Australian Open win led to more success for Mauresmo, who won the 2006 Wimbledon title and held the top ranking for 35 weeks.

In her darkest moments, Sania Mirza wonders if she should quit tennis. The Indian tennis star wishes her only concern before a match was to study her opponent. But it is hardly that simple. Instead, she's taking phone calls from lawyers in India, answering questions about her loyalty to her country and defending her Muslim beliefs.

Fabrice Santoro is rarely mentioned in the same breath with players such as Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and Jimmy Connors. At the Australian Open on Tuesday, the French journeyman surpassed them all -- at least in one statistic. The 35-year-old Santoro broke Andre Agassi's record for most appearances at Grand Slam events in the Open era when he beat American John Isner in straight sets on Court 13...

When her infant son gave her an early wakeup call, Lindsay Davenport knew she was in for a long day at the Australian Open. "Maybe the sign of the day to come was when my son woke up crying at 5 with a nightmare," Davenport said. "I should have read more into that than I did." Jagger, born last June, settled down nicely later Monday at Melbourne Park while Davenport warmed up for her first-round...

A group of aboriginal kids gather around their lifelong hero on a wind-swept tennis court in suburban Melbourne. Listening to her every word, they watch closely as Evonne Goolagong pulls the racket head back and gracefully follows through a mock shot, their mouths agape. Goolagong had that effect on the tennis world at her peak.

Novak Djokovic's first Grand Slam final has him hankering for another. "Considering the fact that my best performances were on the outdoor hard courts, I can hope for a good result here in the Australian Open," a confident Djokovic, who lost to Roger Federer in the U.S. Open final, said Saturday. "I showed my quality in 2007 many times, and I think I deserve to be here." Federer, Rafael Nadal and...

Without the glare of the cameras, or the roar of an appreciative crowd, Roger Federer shanked forehands and hit some backhands long inside Rod Laver Arena. His girlfriend, Mirka Vavrinec, was with him at Melbourne Park's center court, wearing flip-flops in the intense heat and collecting wayward balls as Federer hit with Swiss Davis Cup captain Serevin Luethi.
