Carlos Moya won his fifth Croatia Open title, defeating Andrei Pavel of Romania 6-4, 6-2 on Sunday. Moya, who also won in 1996, 2001, 2002 and 2003, has a 43-8 record in the tournament. This was the Spaniard’s 20th singles title. “It’s an unbelievable feeling,” Moya said. Moya, seeded sixth, made several forehand errors in the first set, with Pavel serving well until 4-4.

Yahoo! Sports - Tennis News Nations can field six players in women’s tennis at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, an increase of two from the 2004 Games. The International Tennis Federation and the WTA Tour announced the change Thursday after completing negotiations to again award ranking points for the competition.
