Davenport will return to singles tennis after an absence of almost a year when she contests the Wismilak International on the island of Bali later in September 2007.  Davenport, who recently announced she will play doubles with fellow American Lisa Raymond at New Haven in August, has not competed on the WTA Tour since reaching the Beijing quarterfinals in Sept. 2006, where she lost to  Mauresmo.
