American twins Bob and Mike Bryan skipped their usual celebration ritual Saturday but were jubilant anyway after grabbing their fifth Grand Slam men's doubles title by beating Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi 7-5, 7-5 at the Australian Open. "It's great to come out and start this year well," Bob Bryan said.

Cara Black and Liezel Huber won their second Grand Slam title Saturday, taking the Australian Open doubles final with a three-set victory over the wild-card rookie team of Chan Yung-jan and Chuang Chia-jung. Third-seeded Black and Huber, who won the Wimbledon doubles title in 2005 but didn't play together last year following a left knee injury to Huber, won 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-1.

The Grand Slam rematch of Serena Williams against Maria Sharapova has been two years in the making. Their initial meeting came in the 2004 Wimbledon final, when Sharapova won her first major. In the 2005 Australian Open semifinal, Sharapova served twice for the match -- once in the second set, once in the third -- and blew four match points before losing 8-6.

Martina Hingis would like to banish the word 'comeback.' More than a year after returning to the WTA Tour following three years off because of injuries, she's ready to drop the reference. "Comeback is long over," Hingis said Tuesday after her 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 loss to Kim Clijsters in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.

Justine Henin-Hardenne is separating from her husband and plans to return to the WTA Tour. Three weeks after pulling out of the Australian Open, Henin-Hardenne, the former No. 1, announced on her Web site Wednesday that she and her husband, Yves, had decided to separate and she planned to play next month in Paris.

Delray Beach, Fla., will host a Fed Cup quarterfinal between the United States and Belgium on April 21-22. The last time the U.S. played a Fed Cup match at home, it beat Belgium at Delray Beach in the 2005 quarterfinals. The U.S. lost to Belgium in the 2006 semifinals. The site for the best-of-five series was announced Monday by the U.S.

Fernando Gonzalez played two sets of near flawless tennis then hung on to defeat Lleyton Hewitt 6-2, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 in the third round of the Australian Open on Saturday. The 26-year-old Chilean, who finished in the top 10 last year despite not winning an ATP title, made just one unforced error in each of the first two sets and three double faults for the match to beat the former Wimbledon and U.S.

Eighth-seeded David Nalbandian came from two sets down and fended off three match points Saturday to beat Sebastien Grosjean 5-7, 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4, 6-1 in the third round of the Australian Open. Nalbandian also came from two sets down in his opening match against Janko Tipsarevic when the Serbian player retired because of heat illness in the fifth and deciding set.

It was far from the usual end to a men's tennis match -- Richard Gasquet planted a kiss on the cheek of good friend, frequent practice partner and French compatriot Gael Monfils. The future of French men's tennis put on a pretty good show at the Australian Open on Friday when 18th-seeded Gasquet beat fellow 20-year-old Monfils 6-0, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 in a third-round match.

Marcos Baghdatis was joined by his father, brother, extended family and friends at the Australian Open. They can all go home early. Second-seeded Fabrice Santoro captured his second straight Hall of Fame Tennis Championships title Sunday, beating Prakash Amritraj 6-3, 7-5 to become the second player since 1990 to win an ATP event after his 35th birthday. In winning his sixth career title, the 35-year-old Santoro became the oldest player to win the tourney on the International Hall of Fame's grass courts.
