Administrator We had a great time at the USTA High Performace Tennis Training Center at the Home Depot Center in California. Julia worked with coaches Ray Ruffels and Debbie Graham and played practice matches, did drills and worked with Mary Jo on strength and conditioning.

The Home Depot Center is a 125-acre development in Carson, California, featuring state-of-the-art stadiums and facilities for soccer, tennis, track & field, cycling, lacrosse, rugby, volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball and other sports. Designated as an “Official U.S. Olympic Training Site,” The Home Depot Center is the nation’s most complete training facility for Olympic, amateur and professional athletes.

USTA High Performance Player Development Program provides American junior, collegiate and young professional players with the opportunities to reach their maximum potential. This mission is facilitated through enhanced coaching education programs, top supplemental coaching in men’s and women’s tennis and junior and collegiate competition and training programs.
Julia really enjoyed the Sportwall which is great for accuracy and hand-eye coordination. It’s also a great workout and a lot of fun! We also had the opportunity to compare Julia’s strokes to Maria Sharapova and Justin Henin-Hardenne using the Dartfish Video Analysis Software. The video highlighted detailed techniques and movements which helped Julia really understand the corrections and adjustments that she needed to make.
